I’m a licensed counselor helping people navigate grief, illness, caregiving, and life’s most complex transitions.
I look forward to hearing your story.
For more than 16 years, I’ve worked with individuals and families facing some of life’s most difficult experiences — cancer diagnoses, grief, fertility challenges, caregiving, and major life transitions. My goal is to provide a calm, compassionate space where you can untangle what you're feeling and find a way forward.
Areas I Help Clients Navigate
Cancer diagnosis and treatment
Grief and traumatic loss
Infertility and reproductive challenges
Family caregiving and burnout
Healthcare professionals facing emotional strain
Religious or spiritual questions and trauma
Immigration psychosocial evaluations
Before starting my private practice, I worked in several healthcare and community settings, including teaching hospitals, a cancer center, hospice and palliative care organizations, and community mental health programs. These experiences shaped my understanding of the emotional realities people face during illness, caregiving, and loss.
I am a 2022 graduate of the Washington School of Psychiatry’s Clinical Program on Psychotherapy Practice, focused on psychodynamic therapy. I’m also a member of the American Counseling Association and the Michigan Mental Health Counselors Association.
Clinical Training Includes:
Grief and loss counseling
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Imago Relationship Therapy
Neurobiology of trauma
Mindfulness practices
Reproductive psychology
Psychodynamic psychotherapy
Palliative and end-of-life care
Immigration hardship and asylum evaluations
My Approach to Counseling
My counseling style is warm, client-centered, and culturally sensitive. I believe people deserve a space where they can speak honestly about what they are experiencing without feeling rushed or judged.
Therapy is about helping you make sense of what you are carrying and finding ways to care for yourself during difficult seasons of life.
Outside of my work with clients, I am involved in advocacy and volunteer work related to gun violence prevention. I believe strongly in social justice and in supporting communities that are navigating trauma and loss.
After spending 18 years living and working in Washington, D.C., I recently relocated to Michigan. I continue to work with many of my DC-area clients through teletherapy while also supporting clients in Michigan.
